Dragons Abreast have announced Senator Trish Crossin as a National Ambassador for Dragons Abreast Australia.

Date:  08 March 2009

Coinciding with International Women's Day, Dragons Abreast are delighted to announce Senator Trish Crossin has become a National Ambassador for Dragons Abreast Australia - the breast cancer charity that began 10 years ago in the Northern Territory and now has 43 member groups spread across Australia.

"We invited Senator Crossin to join us as an Ambassador based on her long term, very genuine and ongoing commitment to the breast cancer cause," said Founder of Dragons Abreast Australia Michelle Hanton OAM.

"We are thrilled to have Senator Crossin agree to take on this role."

Senator Crossin said "I am very humbled and honoured to have been asked to be ambassador for this fantastic cause.

"Dragons Abreast Australia helps countless Australian women battling this disease to beat it, and recover through exercise, lots of support and having fun.

"Some members of my family have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and it is a pleasure to help support and promote this cause in any way."

Senator Crossin joins John Senes from Coffs Harbour, and Madeline Luck and Kaye Taaffe from Rosevale in Queensland as National Ambassadors for Dragons Abreast Australia.
